2 OFFICIAL SELECTION - Ridgewood Interna

My Semester in LA

During my Junior year spring semester, I was able to go through Ithaca College's Los Angeles Program. I moved out there for a semester and got the opportunity to intern at Walt Disney Studios within the Office of the President at 20th Television. I worked on the Fox Studio Lot and was able to really get engrossed in the Los Angeles lifestyle and got real hands on experience in the industry.

Check out below some of the fun things I did and the work experiences I had out there!

SMALL WORLD

Two concurrent stories intertwine in this short drama. I wrote, produced, Assitant Directed, and edited this film. This was my first time working with such a large crew and professional cast and it really expanded my creative and leadership abilities as we shot over two locations, on multiple days, and had many production needs to plan out before shooting.

The Effects of Gravity
on Knobs

The Effects of Gravity on Knobs was a comedic short film developed for Ithaca College's long standing Horror Film Competition, The Golden Door Knob Awards. The challenge is to make a film that presents the most imaginative way to have a "Death by Doorknob." This story we created won second place in the 2023 competition.

Disney World

This is a photo series I created for my Intro to Photography class that shows the different sides of a trip to Disney World. It shows the more commercial, beautiful and happy side as well as the more dreary, tiring side.

The Dinner Club

This parody short film was my final for my Cinema Production 1 class. I wrote, produced, directed, and edited this film. There is a lot I learned from this experience as it was my first time really directing a large group of actors and having a more complex story, but I am very proud for how it came out as my first complex narrative.

1985

I was nominated for two awards (NATAS Chicago/Midwest Chapter and MMEA Film Festival) for this music video to the song 1985 by Bowling for Soup.  I had a lot of fun creating the idea and executing it as I got to play with different storytelling visual types as I cut back and forth between a present and past narrative.

Sources Say

In Fall 2024, I took a class called Writing the TV Pilot. In this class, we were tasked with creating and developing an original TV show idea and our final project was to write a finished TV pilot script. I wrote a 30 min TV murder mystery comedy entitled Sources Say.

Frat Baby

This past semester, I had the opportunity to work on the TV pilot "Frat Baby," as one of the Producers. This position helped me expand my skills in producing as I learned to use softwares like Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling.

A Leap of Faith

A documentary I made in high school about my cousin Matt Colella who dealt with addiction, deciding to go rehab, and reconnecting with the people he hurt. I was very proud of this project because he trusted me with his story and it allowed me to expand my storytelling and editing skills as a beginner filmmaker.
